10x Verdict earns money through affiliate links. If you click a link to a retailer on this site and buy something, we may receive a commission. It costs you nothing extra — the price you pay is the same as it would be if you had gone to the retailer directly.

Why we are telling you this

Because you are entitled to know how a site that recommends products gets paid. Disclosure of material connections is required by advertising standards in most jurisdictions, including the Advertising Standards Council of India's guidelines for influencer and affiliate advertising, and we would publish this regardless.

Where these links appear

Affiliate links appear in our buying guides and reviews, on the buttons and "check price" links that take you to a retailer. Every article containing them shows a disclosure notice at the top, before you reach any link. Affiliate links are also marked with therel="sponsored nofollow" attribute, which is how search engines identify paid links.

Our how-to guides generally contain no affiliate links at all.

What it does not influence

This is the part that matters:

• It does not affect which products we recommend. We regularly rank a cheaper product above a more expensive one, which earns us less.
• It does not affect our rankings. Commission rates vary by product and retailer; we do not consult them when ranking.
• It does not affect what we criticise. Every product we recommend has its weaknesses listed. We would rather you buy the right thing once than the wrong thing through our link.
• No brand can buy a position. There is no rate card for coverage on this site.

Programmes we participate in

We participate or intend to participate in affiliate programmes operated by Indian and international retailers and affiliate networks, which may include Amazon, Flipkart, Croma, Reliance Digital and others, directly or through affiliate networks.

Where a programme requires specific wording, that wording appears alongside the relevant links.

A note on prices

Prices on this site are approximate and carry the date they were last checked. Indian retail pricing changes frequently, and prices shown on the retailer's page at the time of purchase are the ones that apply. We are not responsible for price changes made by retailers after we publish.
